While my original intent was the feeling that this is getting old, or rather childish. Then to see the nature of the exchange on Morning Joe, it takes some perspectivising.* Martin Bashir covers another aspect of the picture show. Back to the future, I mean Morning Joe, who is in the drivers seat? Mika or Joe? The image of President Obama getting into a car at an auto show. Who is in the drivers seat? Politically the President is. But it is like one of those drivers-ed cars with a second wheel and brakes on the passenger side, and congress is in that seat. But with Batman, I mean Bashir on West, Republicans would have no message if they did not have imagined monsters: "equality of achievement", "economic dependency"and "enslaving".

So...bottom line, Political is a double-edged sword. There is the race and there is the economy. Congress plays a role in both, and negative is not just ugly, it can have actual facts. So Mika can say that Obama is behind the wheel. And Joe can say he is not. Now you may see that the president is not the only one in the car, with a hand on the wheel.

Here are two further points. Not only is the crisis in leadership a myth in the form of the president not being a legislator and not being a unitary executive, but with Romney and his flip-flop of support of the Ryan plan, or rather support for social security and medicare, it may be the Republican plan. You see the trick might be that they can say anything, since it is not a law yet. Romney was for it before he was against it, but if the Republicans number one job was to make Obama a one term president, the substance of the bill was not important, because they did not want anything to be done. It would seem that Obamacares is a whole lot more flexible and must be in the right direction if they are running against it.

...is what came to mind as I saw Romney frame the race as a decision between the three winners of the last three contests. That's what Ron Paul(8:45) should say. Or maybe Herman Cain or Stephen Colbert should say it**. I am in the process of watching last night's debate on CNN and Rick Santorum (9:10)kicked off the debate with a thread that crosses another thought I had during the introductions, "We are a country of laws".* Actually Ron Paul had already started a few threads in his introduction, we are not nation builders. Romney(15:58) stands up to a Gingrich charge or rather a question on rhetoric and deals with it in legal terms. My original thought had to do with the irony of the conservative nature, but Gingrich is almost a false flag of rhetoric.

BTW- Not necessarily the missing thought: but in regards to Romney's financial reporting, does it bode well for his credit as a business leader, let alone maker of laws? I mean the mis-reporting, and his math regarding taxes and charitable contributions adding up at times to 40 to 45%?

"Europe is not U.S. when it comes to austerity, infrastructure or other investments." The jackpot is that when it comes to comparing austerity, one must recognize the starting point. Also it is not the "entitlements" but the investing, or more accurately, the not investing or arrangement of payment. But it is a bit of a double-edged-sword that is not just about cuts. Austerity is not the only answer, but paying for it is. Europe may have more to pay for, but that is not just on the negative side of the ledger, as they have more social programs and infrastructure on the books and actual works. I might not be painting the clearest of pictures, but I am trying to show that Europe is a different picture than U.S.

Rachel Maddow rakes over Senator Kyl for his not intending to make "factual statements" shovel.*
He never actually said X, but effectively and economically, Y is the same thing. Except when it is for the 99%. Tax cuts for the 1% do not need to be paid for. Also not extending the Bush tax cuts, is a tax increase. But tax cuts for the 99%, those need to be paid for, and not extending them are not a tax increase.

I think the slogan "NO NEW TAXES" is very Democratic, give us the old taxes. And a new Texas might not hurt.

Two, following the chart. But it seems to me that actually, in the Permanent Tax Cuts category, it would be even harder to say. But it does seem to show a relative benefit to old tax rates mixed with Obama tax rates, and flip-flopping the Republican tax policy, as we have virtual mud from the trickle-down. And we even have pun with the bank and the cave.]

Which came first the halal or the peta? Well more correctly in who was sat iring whom? I mean is this really along the lines of the war on Xmas? The FOX in the hen(turkey) house? American Exceptionalism, was coined by a Frenchman.

American exceptionalism refers to the theory that the United States is qualitatively different from other countries. In this view, America's exceptionalism stems from its emergence from a revolution, becoming "the first new nation,"[1] and developing a uniquely American ideology, based on liberty, egalitarianism, individualism, populism and laissez-faire. This observation can be traced to Alexis de Tocqueville, the first writer to describe the United States as "exceptional" in 1831 and 1840.[2] Historian Gordon Wood has argued, "Our beliefs in liberty, equality, constitutionalism, and the well-being of ordinary people came out of the Revolutionary era. Well, not literally. It was actually first used by Joseph Stalin.

Maybe it is already in the cards. Not that I have marked any C A R D. Bush tax cuts must expire. That is already in the cards. Using it as a sticking point is a joker. The president has been dealt from the bottom of the deck. Congress is the house, are we the vigorish? But actually my idea is that we use the Republican rhetoric. They have claimed he has gotten everything he asked for, and have blaimed him for not using the Simpson-Bowles suggestions. In actuality, they did not come up with a concensus, and the president put it all on the table. So the Super Committe does not have to fail, it just needs to report a non-consensus, and Congress can do their usual thing, and they can risk failure, which might be still better*. Ideally there will be up or down votes on parts of it whether they reach consensus or not. Then it will be the peoples turn to deal, at election time. It that is bringing in politics, that is what brings in the people. And that "my friends", is the name of the game, not to channel McCain.
